The Byron Bay Junior AFL Club is attached to the Northern Rivers Junior League and AFL Queensland.

The junior club trains at the Byron Bay Sports & Recreation Complex (Cornell Fields) at Ewingsdale, on a Wednesday afternoon from 4.30pm until 6.30pm during the football season of March - September each year.

They cater for Auskick and Junior Football teams from U/7-U/16, with the addition of two girls teams in 2016. The Byron Magpies are a family orientated AFL club focused on safety, fun and developing players’ basic coordination skills.

The club has a strong Committee and encourage parents to get involved with their children as much as possible.

Matches are played on a Sunday starting from 9.00am and are rotated around the different grounds of the clubs attached to the Northern Rivers League.

Transitioning into senior football is always daunting but a good way to make the step can be to come and watch and help at Senior games.  Please contact us if you want to get involved.
